I am assuming Athlon 64 does refer to 64bit?

Tonight, I mainly did some Pre-MOT checks on the 110. Adjusted the hand brake, checked the brake pipes, lights, seatbelts, steering box. I did find some play in a rear wheel bearing, hopefully not too much to fail.
Regards.

Spent the day stripping the ancillaries from the old combo engine and putting them on the new-to-me engine.

Yesterday I
Checked the rear brake pads
Front brake pads
Hoovered the car

Today, I helped a mate put the gearleg back on his Evinrude engine then it started raining.
Not enough power in the battery to test the engine, so that will be saved for another day. At some point the boat will be for sale.(or is that sail?)

Listed some stuff on ebay http://shop.ebay.co.uk/excossack/m.html
Regards.

Went to a new (two months old) off-road site at Grianrhyd, not far from home. Got stuck in two feet of thick mud almost immediately! Pulled out, then went further into the site. Got stuck again and winched out, then recovered a Disco and tried another. My winch, although fine for the Niva, is no match for a bogged down Disco! Eventually I had to leave him there whilst others tried to recover him, and themselves!
Didn't stay long, as the idea of spending the entire afternoon winching doesn't appeal to me (too old now! :D ) But the ground at the site was all soft, with reeds aplenty, so it's almost permanently wet and boggy, if you like that sort of thing. The practice was useful though!
Owners / operators are friendly and helpful, and I met a few friends there (I do have a few!).
If I go there again, I'll need a different set of tyres!
What surprised me though was that nearly all these seriously kitted out motors lacked winches of their own. Don't understand the sense of that.

Both will be fine. Go for a synthetic rope at once, before scratching the surfaces with the steel wire. After trying syntethic you never want to use steel again.
