I hope you brought your exhaust bits home. Wouldn't want a little marmot hurting himself now would we.

The centre section looks fine. Removing the back box is a fairly common mod. Not too noisy either.

Looked like a nice trip. Got to love those steep hills and mountain trails. Beautiful and challenging - we don't have enough of that here...

Yeah, just put a straight pipe in place of the back box - sounds nice, isn't too loud and at least my one seemed to run better without it.

I just chopped mine off after it came over the back axle before turning into the back box, bolted a straight pipe onto there and clamped a hanger (made out of a bent nail in my case!) onto it.

Mr. MOT man was happy with this. It wasn't loud, it passed the emission tests, wasn't leaking, and was perfectly secure. Ran like that for another two years!

I've had 6 cars on lpg and absolutely no issues with exhaust heat. In fact, I would not be surprised if the tank gets hotter just sitting around in our sunshine than your tank will ever get from the exhaust :lol:
