Repaired a broken fan extractor fitting on the outside wall of the house. Five minutes and I couldn't feel my fingers! Hurts like hell when feeling starts returning!

Embarrassed several people who I pushed into and out of spaces in our car park by proceeding to drive straight out of my space, through the bit everyone was getting stuck in, then out of the carpark in the Cappuccino. They'd actually started walking towards me ready to push the car through it - and looked suitably baffled when I didn't even spin a wheel.

...It's fun having an utterly improbable car that's good in the snow. It confuses people.

Then when I got out here to my parents place, spent a couple of hours turning a room full (I mean full!) of bits into one of those bed-over-desk bunk beds. Was fun without instructions, but not really complicated. Substantial bit of kit too, can't have been cheap! ...I got it free off the classifieds at work, so am not complaining!

Finished rearranging this room around the new bed, ate too much, watched a couple of movies with my parents, cleaned this room following the rearranging, then spent a while tinkering around with an old TV.

Discovered that accidentally picking up a pencil instead of a ballpoint pen to prod what appears to be a loose EHT connection gives rise to an impressively loud yelp of surprise. Still, proved beyond doubt that the line output stage is working. EHT properly discharged, couple of capacitors changed, one open-circuit section of the mains dropper resistor bridged with a suitable replacement, and of course that connection cleaned, we now have a raster on the screen for the first time in about 30 years. Only a horizontal line - but it's a start. Shouldn't be too hard this one.

Water pressure occasionally too high? Turn it down a bit at the machine connection to the mains. Won't affect performance but, if too high, will bounce out of tray.

Hi John. I think weve been down the water pressure route.. Worth a double check tho.
I think part of the problem is the design of the draw and surround. There isnt much of a slope on the surround to drive water back into the draw, it needs more of a lip to start water coming out.
Regards.

'as hopefully I will be made redundant in march'
Is that wishful hoping Simon?

If your first production is a tracked Niva we know where the parts came from :-)

Whats the going rate for units down your way?
Regards.
