I was just wondering how Lada owners feel about Lada jokes?
Such as this:

I like Lada's, therefore I found those jokes quite sad.
What do you think?

Lada jokes are brilliant. You can't own a Lada unless you have a sense of humour.
I got all the Lada jokes until it snowed and then I had the only car that could get in and out of my street. The jokes stopped.

ill say the same thing as GB... last winter a cop car ( Ford Crown Victoria) tried to follow me through a snow storm and ended up off the highway ... when i stopped to pull him out, I asked him why he was going so fast... I remember what he said "I was sure I'd make it all right you just drive a Lada.(In french). I laugh my ass out. All jokes wear off as soon as snow appears.

I find them funny.
Most people make them up or tell them because they are ashamed that that a small cheap 4wd can be way better than their big super-duper expensive 4wd, so want to forget that by joking about Ladas... (Or Nivas in particular)

I like your winter Lada stories.
It's nice to know how well a Lada performs during the winter, especially compared to other cars.

That's nice to hear.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you about your Lada SWAT experience.

Few years back, in my old Niva, I was trundling along a snow covered road at a steady 30mph, being followed by a kid in a hatchback who was desperate to overtake. Came to a 90deg left hander, which I carried on round at 30mph. As I drove on, became aware that he was no longer there and, looking in the mirror, saw him off the road in a shallow ditch. Plenty of people there to help, so I carried on. Not very public spirited perhaps, but he'll behave in future!
Regards,

That's the problem with our youngsters, they like to drive fast. I know, because a few ages ago i was young to. But i believe that the car they drive makes a big difference. When my son drives his '91 150 HP Clio 16V he never has the time to stay behind a slower car. When he drives his Niva he is a lot calmer.
I must admit: it is not easy to drive his Clio in a normal way.

I'm just the same.. when driving my niva I rarely go over 100km/h... as soon as I drive my Cavalier its an other story...One learn pretty fast that you can only get so many speeding ticket before they take your license... and since I'm very very close to lose it I don't drive the Cavalier so much...

I'm the sort of young driver who doesn't remember to look at the speedo, and when I do I'm often going 130kmh (in my Mini and the Niva

).
But I was brought up to know how to read the road, and we lived on a gravel road, sop I also learnt car control.
But then again, I'm not exactly a 'normal' teenager

Some make me laugh...
"What happens if you apply rust remover to a Lada?
The Lada disappears. "
