Picked up some 44,000 or so Lbs of cured cowhides in South St. Paul MN. Drove 10 hours to get back to the soo. Played around in the snow a bit with the Niva and now consuming copious amounts of Alcohol while catching up on the Forums.

Failed in my attempt to sell my car. The guy that's been wanting to buy it for several months hasn't got the money I want for it so didn't get to go Niva shopping. However.......he does know a car dealer that's got a rebuilt Niva that he's taking me to look at next weekend to see if we can cut a deal. No lpg but we're going to try and get a conversion thrown in so fingers crossed.

Today I'm mostly going to sit back and let my wife do all the work, looking forward to having some friends round and watching the fireworks in the distance :D

I have mostly been watching the waves crash over the local slipway and watching the few remaining moored boats duck and dive in the wind & high tide.

Land Rover leaks...I have a wet right foot :-(

We're almost out of firewood (our only source of heating up here) so this morning I will be cutting and chopping some more wood before making sure the car will start (-10*c) then off to work at lunchtime to teach some kids :D .....or if the car doesn't start I'll be playing on the internet all afternoon

........got really pigged off with the guy who we were supposed to be doing a deal with at the weekend re a Niva. The price of the Niva has dropped considerably but the guy who wants to buy our current car can't up the amount he's willing to pay and I really can't afford to make up the difference  So still Nivaless for the time being and considering whether there's a plan B or C

It's a balmy -9 right now so I fixed my sticking front brake calipers / adjusted the front wheel bearings. Going back out to do more routine maintenance shortly.
