Got a slow puncture on the offside front wheel of the Cappuccino repaired (was leaking around the valve stem).
Tomorrow will be trying to get the air con recharged - we'll see how that goes. Still, don't cost anything to try anyway.
Don't really need it for cooling at this time of year obviously - but it would come in handy to help dry the cabin out, as it has quite significant condensation issues.
Plus if the unit is knackered, it gives me an excuse to get around to removing it to save on weight.

You been on the home brew again???hoverfrog wrote:...took a Welsh sheep from English farmers in Limousin to a French farmer in Tarn in a Russian car with a Breton co-pilot!!!
Came back with 3 cartwheels, two oak barrels (unfortunately empty!) and lots of bottles of Gaillac
Fitted an extended positive terminal to the FIAT Ducato battery 'cause you can't get at the proper terminal in its' standard position. Tube, flattened at one end, and drilled, bolted to terminal, then bent to run horizontally along the battery to about 3" short of the negative. Covered in a rubber hose, with the last 1.5" removeable and a red cross painted on. Now accessible!
Also fixed a split fuel hose on the LDV.

Successfully had my air con recharged in the Cappuccino (surprised to be honest, I'd expected the system to leak like a seive!). Plus side of getting it done off-season is that it only cost me £30.
Need to go back on Monday however as they've plainly not balanced the wheel they had off for the puncture repair on Friday properly! *sigh*
Tomorrow will hopefully get the alternator and a/c compressor drive belts replaced, as they both look to be, how shall I put it...well worn! ...And they did when I got the car about ten months ago! Probably time they were changed methinks.

Today i helped a mate pack his 18ft trailer ready for his trip back to spain, Including, American fridge/freezer, range cooker, flat pack kitchen sofa, tools, magazines, clothes.
Trailer all packed, tied down, tarped over and yet more rope. Then I spotted one of the welds in the chassis of the A frame had cracked almost all the way through the metal. This has already been welded.
A few frantic phone calls and his mate popped up with a big MIG welder and got it re-welded.
Fingers crossed its ok for the 1500mile trip back home!

Got crawled all over by a close friends pet rats. Not un-used to being crawled all over by animals, but it's usually one of my co-workers (very) large tugu rather than small mammals!
Inquisitive little critters, and surprisingly clever they seem.
